Jeff Scofield is an American artist who studied at the Ateliers des Beaux Arts de la Ville de Paris after earning his Master of Architecture degree at Columbia University in New York. He migrated to Dubai over10 years ago, where he was the Art Director for Gallery 76. Jeff is currently enrolled at Cranbrook Academy of Art in Metro Detroit, where he expects to earn his Master of Fine Arts degree in the spring of 2019.
Jeff uses found materials to create original abstract art installations. Working at large and small scales, his artwork evokes the complexities and contradictions of modern life through the expression of sustainable themes.
Conducting workshops and delivering artist talks is an integral part of Jeff's art practice. He has also completed several Artist in Residence programs where he showcased his sustainable art installations to the public.
Jeff’s artwork has been exhibited in various art galleries, public institutions and hotels in New York, Paris, Rome, Brussels and Dubai. He has won numerous prizes and awards, notably the 4th International Emerging Artist Award. He is frequently selected for juried exhibitions, including Sikka Art Fair, a fringe event at Art Dubai. Jeff's art can be found in private collections in the USA, France, Holland, the UK, Hong Kong, Australia and the United Arab Emirates.
